Scope and limitations

Price and customer demand are unvalidated; the bundled sample is entirely synthetic.
USD only, two explicit non-overlapping periods, at most 366 days and 10,000 normalized rows per period.
Customer supplies normalized data, complete period coverage and independent control totals. Raw provider formats need separate preparation.
This is a billing variance explanation, not a savings guarantee, invoice certification, resource-rightsizing or implementation service.
The fulfillment function is memory-only. Hosting, actual 24-hour deletion, payment terms and customer-data authorization must be verified before any external launch.

FAQ

Is this a cloud optimization audit?

No. CostBrief reconciles and explains submitted charge changes. It has no utilization data and recommends no resource changes.

Can I upload a native AWS or Azure export?

Only after it is normalized to the documented seven columns and aggregated to one row per date/account/service/region/charge type. This pilot does not silently interpret provider-specific billing fields.

What does the Historical USD 299 hypothesis include?

The proposed pilot covers one two-period USD comparison and the five downloadable report files. The price is a hypothesis, not a validated offer or active checkout.

What if input does not reconcile?

You receive a blocking data-quality report with the first concrete correction. No misleading partial comparison is released.

Are credentials required?

No. Do not submit credentials, access tokens, customer personal data or unrelated material. Use synthetic data in this local demonstration.

When is my upload deleted?

The core processes text in memory and writes no files. A 24-hour deletion policy is drafted for the surrounding local host, and must be independently verified before external customer data is accepted.
